Peer Review Policy

The Research Journal in Translation, Literature, Linguistics, and Education (RJTLLE) ensures highest standards of academic integrity through a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript submitted to RJTLLE is evaluated for originality, methodological soundness, scholarly contribution, and relevance to the journal’s scope. This peer review process ensures that all articles published meet international scientific standards of excellence in research, analysis, and presentation.

RJTLLE follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and adheres to principles of fairness, confidentiality, and transparency throughout the review process.

RJTLLE Peer Review Process Aims to:

  • Employ a Double-Blind Peer Review Process

  • Ensure that only high-quality article is published.

  • Maintain the credibility, accuracy, and academic rigor of the journal.
  • Foster collaboration and intellectual growth within the fields of translation, literature, linguistics, and education.

  • Ensure an unbiased assessment based purely on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, and contribution to knowledge.

Reviewer Selection and Qualification

Reviewers are selected based on:

  • Expertise in the subject area of the manuscript.

  • Academic credentials, publication record, and research experience.

  • Commitment to providing objective and timely evaluations.

  • No conflicts of interest with the authors or the research.

The Editorial Board maintains a diverse pool of reviewers from various institutions and countries to ensure fairness, inclusivity, and broad scholarly representation.

 

Review Process Workflow

Step 1: Initial Screening

Step 2: Assignment to Reviewers

Step 3: Review Reports within 2-4 weeks of accepting the invitation (extension may be granted upon request)

Step 4: Evaluation Criteria, Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and significance of the research

  • Relevance to the journal’s focus areas

  • Clarity and coherence of arguments

  • Appropriateness of methodology and data analysis

  • Theoretical and practical contributions

  • Quality of references and adherence to ethical standards

Step 5: Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editor makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept (with or without minor revisions)

  • Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)

  • Reject (does not meet the journal’s publication criteria)

Authors receive detailed reviewer comments and are encouraged to respond point by point to all feedback when submitting revised versions.

 

Revision and Resubmission

  • Revised manuscripts must be submitted within 2–3 weeks unless otherwise stated.

  • The Editor-in-Chief or the original reviewers may reassess the revised paper to ensure that all concerns have been adequately addressed.

  • Final acceptance is based on the satisfactory revision of all reviewer and editorial comments.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents.

  • Reviewers are prohibited from sharing, discussing, or citing any part of the manuscript prior to publication.

  • The editorial team ensures that author identities, research data, and related materials are protected throughout the review process.

Conflict of Interest

RJTLLE requires that authors, reviewers, and editors disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their judgment.

  • Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts in which they have a personal, professional, or financial connection with the authors or their institutions.

  • Editors recuse themselves from decisions on manuscripts where they may have competing interests.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide fair, objective, and constructive feedback.

  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Report suspected cases of plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical research practices.

  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the anonymity of the process.

  • Submit reports in a timely manner.

10. Editorial Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for:

  • Ensuring that every manuscript receives a fair and unbiased evaluation.

  • Selecting qualified reviewers based on expertise and ethical conduct.

  • Making independent editorial decisions based on the merit of the manuscript.

  • Upholding COPE standards for ethical publishing.

  • Handling cases of research misconduct, plagiarism, or unethical authorship practices in accordance with the journal’s ethics policy.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions if they believe their manuscript was not evaluated fairly. Appeals must be made in writing to the Editor-in-Chief, clearly stating the reasons for reconsideration. The appeal will be reviewed by a separate editorial panel or external expert whose decision will be final.

Ethical Compliance

RJTLLE strictly adheres to ethical publishing practices as outlined by COPE, including:

  • Authorship and contributorship criteria

  • Avoidance of plagiarism and self-plagiarism

  • Accurate citation and acknowledgment of sources

  • Proper management of human subject research and data confidentiality

Any detected violation may result in rejection, retraction, or reporting to relevant authorities or institutions.

Recognition of Reviewers

To acknowledge their contribution to academic integrity and quality, reviewers may (with their consent):

  • Receive formal certificates of review;

  • Be recognized annually on the journal’s website or in editorial issues;

  • Be invited to join the Editorial Review Board based on consistent performance and scholarly excellence.

Continuous Improvement

RJTLLE is committed to continually improving the peer review process through:

  • Regular training and orientation of reviewers and editors;

  • Adopting transparent review practices;

  • Using plagiarism detection and quality control tools;
